Salinas police reported this weekend, that 2-arrests were made on Friday, after an armed robbery of a gas station. A man robbed the shell station at 458 market street, at about 11:30 a.m. the suspect indicated that he had a gun, although officers now believe that he was armed with a screwdriver at the time. He fled with cash, but (with the help of a witness,) officers were able to track down the vehicle he used. The vehicle’s owner was not the robber, but 36-year-old jesus cadena was arrested, because he was wanted by his parole agent. 57-year-old gilbert Gallegos was identified as the robber; he was later found, and arrested.
