A 25 YEAR-OLD GANG MEMBER, AND A 27 YEAR-OLD GANG MEMBER, WERE ARRESTED IN SALINAS THIS MORNING AFTER SHOTS WERE FIRED AT A SALINAS POLICE OFFICER DURING A HIGH SPEED CHASE ON LOCAL ROADS. A 3RD SUSPECT, DESCRIBED ONLY AS A MALE IN HIS LATE TEENS OR EARLY 20’S (WHO IS CONSIDERED TO BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS) IS STILL AT-LARGE. THE CHASE BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT AND ENDED WHEN THE SUSPECT VEHICLE HIT A TREE NEAR NATIVIDAD CREEK PARK, AND THE 3 SUSPECTS RAN INTO THE PARK. THE 25 AND 27 YEAR-OLD MEN WERE BOOKED INTO MONTEREY COUNTY JAIL. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THE 3RD SUSPECT IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT.
