2-salinas men have been each been sentenced to 50-years in prison. 24-year-old alberto lopez and 23-year-old steven perez were convicted of 4-counts of attempted murder with a firearm, after shooting at a group of men in 2008. the drive-by incident occurred near salinas’ williams and bardin roads. The charges carried enhancements because the crime was committed to benefit a criminal street gang. 4-people were injured in the incident; 3-were wounded in the shooting, and a pedestrian was struck by the suspects as they fled in their vehicle. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
