Two Santa Cruz county cyclists were flown to trauma centers on Saturday in unrelated incidents. First a man in his 20’s was injured at 11am after falling off a 30 to 40 foot train trestle in Henry Cowell Park. That man suffered significant injuries. Around 4pm a teenage boy flew over the handlebars of his bike while riding over some improvised jumps on Conference Drive near Scotts Valley. The teen wasn’t wearing a helmet, and was flown to a hospital as a precaution.
