2 San Jose men were arrested this week and a 3rd is wanted in connection with a raid that uncovered a large scale commercial marijuana cultivation and sales operation at a Live Oak warehouse. 26-year old Darrel Madison and 25-year old Anthony Ott were taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy and possession for sales and cultivation of marijuana. Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at 5 locations in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties yesterday when they found the marijuana operation, and seized 25 pounds of processed marijuana, hundreds of pot plants, 5 guns, and nearly $2,000 in cash. Deputies say the 3 allegedly rented a warehouse on the 900 block of Tower Place where they estimate $75,000 worth of growing equipment was used to produce 4 annual harvests, which would have netted at least $300,000 in total.
