A WATSONVILLE MAN WANTED SINCE 1986 HAS BEEN ARRESTED. WATSONVILLE DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING A BURGLARY COMPLAINT THURSDAY EVENING RECEIVED A TIP ON A POSSIBLE SUSPECT. AFTER RUNNING RAUL RIOJAS’S NAME AND ADDRESS THE OFFICERS REALIZED THERE WAS A COLD CASE ATTEMPTED MURDER WARRANT FOR A MAN WITH THE SAME LAST NAME AT THE SAME 2ND STREET ADDRESS. AN INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THE BURGLARY SUSPECT WAS IN FACT 47 YEAR PAUL RIOJAS. RIOJAS WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND TURNED OVER TO THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT TO FACE THE 1986 ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE.
