A CENTRAL CALIFORNIA ILLEGAL DRUG SEIZURE COULD AFFECT LOCAL COMMUNITIES. DRUG AGENTS AIDED BY HOMELAND SECURITY, LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND THE C-H-P RAIDED A HOUSE IN MADERA AND SEIZED 176 POUNDS OF METHAMPHETAMINE AND 58-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN CASH. THE DRUGS APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN SMUGGLED INTO THE COUNTRY FROM MEXICO IN LIQUID FORM. AUTHORITIES STATED THAT LABORATORY EQUIPMENT FOR CONVERTING THE LIQUID TO CYRSTAL WAS PRESENT AT THE HOME. NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE AT THIS TIME
