The Homeless Services Center held its 16th Annual Homeless Memorial Service yesterday morning. According to the Homeless Persons’ Health Project report, 38 homeless people died in Santa Cruz County this year. More than one hundred people gathered at the event with flags that depicted the names of those who have died. The service memorialized victims as young as 15-years-old.
