Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing congenital birth defects. Asserting that women of childbearing age should be taking the 90 essential nutrients prior to conception. Contending that if all women did this congenital birth defects could be completely eliminated. Because congenital birth defects are caused by the mother missing nutrients either during conception or gestation.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a medical mistake. A woman from Georgia was given an anti-seizure drug for depression. Within two weeks she started getting blisters on her skin. She was put into a medically induced coma while her skin peeled off. She now resembles a burn victim as she burned from the inside out. She also lost her fingernails and sweat glands as slowly goes blind. She is now suing the maker of Lamictal GlaxoSmithKline for an undisclosed amount of money.
