Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing cancer. Contending that cancer is a self inflicted disease. Asserting that cancer is due to lifestyle choices. Things like smoking and foods that are full of free radicals. Stating that if people consume more that 100,000 free radicals daily cancer can be avoided.

Pearls of Wisdom

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study from Tufts University. Researchers found that in 2012 there were 700,000 deaths from heart disease, strokes and diabetes. Finding that 10 ingredients combined contributed to about 45% of those deaths. Outlining two groups of foods “good” foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seeds, nuts, polyunsaturated fats found in oils and omega 3 fatty acids from oily fish. The “bad” foods included red meat, processed meats, sugary drinks and salt are to be limited if not completely avoided.
