114 rabbits rescued in aptos 11/08/11 8:45p.m. TDH

Authorities seized 114-rabbits on sunday from an aptos property.  The rabbits were confiscated after animal control officers discovered that they were living in inhumane conditions.  The owner of the freedom boulevard property was cited for the violations, and could face criminal charges.  The rabbits were taken to the santa cruz county animal shelters in live oak and Watsonville, and are being cleaned and cared for.  None are expected to be euthanized.  the rabbits, and their babies, will be up for adoption.
