Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing his theory that there are no genetic diseases. Contending that birth defects are caused by the mother being deficient in nutrients either during conception or gestation. Asserting that all women in child bearing age should be supplementing with all 90 essential nutrients. Stating that ever since baby formula makers were forced to add a single nutrient to formulas sudden infant death syndrome ended.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study from the University of Copenhagen. Finding a link between folate deficiency and DNA chromosome abnormalities. Folate plays a role in the production and repair of DNA. A folate deficiency results in daughter cells of DNA to have missing parts or whole chromosomes. Researchers believe this why a folate deficiency is associated some many different diseases.
