It’s fire and rain this morning for highway 101 commuters.
Around five this morning a smokey brush fire broke out on the shoulder of northbound highway 101 at Betabel road in the aromas area.
Fire crews rushed to the scene to battle the acre and a half blaze… closing the slow the lane.
At last check the back-up was about an hour long on northbound highway 101 at Betabel road. The c-h-p says the slow lane should re-open in a little more than an hour.
