(11:30) Santa Cruz County – Dr. Seuss’ birthday is celebrated by schools across the country with special reading events. The nonprofit, Free Books for Kids, will celebrate by giving more than 1,000 Dr. Seuss books to economically disadvantaged children in Santa Cruz County. Green Acres Elementary, Del Mar Elementary, Santa Cruz Reading Association, Live Oak Elementary, MacQuiddy Elementary will all be receiving books this week to honor Dr. Seuss’s birthday, which is on Friday, March2.
