(10:25) Authorities reported that 10 people were rescued from the Salinas River, in Paso Robles, yesterday. At around 8:45 a.m. search and rescue crews responded to the report of a person in distress in the Salinas River, just North of the Niblick Bridge. Over the course of four hours 10 river rescues were conducted. A CHP helicopter completed 6 hoist rescues and 4 people were pulled from the water by rescue swimmers. 1 canine died and 2 people were taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
