1 of 2 puppies that were stolen at gunpoint in Merced county has been recovered (when one of the 2 suspects was arrested in Santa Cruz), and the other puppy is believed to still be in Santa Cruz county. The suspect’s accomplice reportedly drove away with the 2nd puppy. Although the vehicle was found later with a loaded shotgun inside, along with methamphetamine for sale…neither the accomplice nor the puppy have been found.
