One person died, and 2 others, were injured yesterday in a head-on accident just north of Davenport. the driver who died was reportedly passing southbound vehicles on Highway 1 when he crashed his vehicle into a northbound vehicle. the 2 people (in the vehicle he hit) suffered major injuries in that afternoon incident. highway 1 re-opened about 5:45 p.m. yesterday.
