Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show discussing the report from the government that states children of today won’t live as long as their parents. Citing the statistics of how many people die within the confines of the medical industry. In fact 251,000 patients are killed in the U.S. every year. Doc asserts that any other industry would be shut down if that many people were killed.
Pearls of Wisdom
Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a study from Wake Forest School of Medicine. The study found that patients who lowered their systolic blood pressure below 120 had 19% reduced risk of mild cognitive decline. The same was not true for patients who only lowered their pressure to 140. Doc asserts that it is possible to lower blood pressure without drugs through nutritional supplementation and lifestyle changes.
